Somebody and the Universe

Somebody asked me,

What is wrong?

I said, everything—

The whole wide universe.

Can’t you see, I said,

Everything’s wrong with everything,

The sun and its burning heat,

The stars and their unreachable distance,

The meteors in their distracting stance,

The black holes in their unfathomable depth,

The space and its emptiness.

What is wrong with that?

That somebody inquired.

Can’t you see?

Nothing is entirely wrong with everything,

The sun and its heat warm the heart of cold,

The stars and their distance makes you reach out high,

The meteors and their stance are just there to test,

The black holes are just holes of fear,

The space and its emptiness could be filled by you.

I cried and I wipe the tears and smile.

    • Hi wordwand!

      Thanks for liking this.
I’m quite intrigued by what you said: “I think that what’s wrong in this universe is mankind not god’s creations.”

Please elaborate, if you may. 🙂

      Good Day!

    • Thank you Jingle!
You are one of those who fill the emptiness of my bloggosphere.

As for the gift of poetry, nah, I don’t think I have it, I’m tired of waiting for my Muse.

      How are you?
      Happy Valentine’s Day!♥♥♥

  2. Your poem got me thinking. But while Im not exactly a religious soul, I don’t see anything wrong (even minutely) in any of God’s creations.

Maybe its our outlook or our interpretation of things thats flawed. eg: People curse volcanos but they are also essential in their own way. 🙂

    Nice read 🙂

    • Hi datsme!
Yeah, you are right. Life and everything are just a matter of perspective.

Just like a glass of water. You could either see it as half-empty or half-full.

      Good day!
And thanks for the visit. 😉
