Against you I will fling myself, unvanquished and unyielding, O Death!— Virginia Woolf

I’ve  just seen the photo of the guy who got drowned in the pool of  Iligan’s Delamar Resort yesterday. His name is  Vincent Latorre, 3rd year Psychology student in MSU.

When I saw photo, I realized that he is one of my juniors who had smiled at me in the CSSH and said “hi ate!” before I became an instructor. Oh my. How could Fate be so cruel!

He just added to a number of people I know who have passed away this year: my father, fathers of my three classmates, my neighbor’s father, JD Salinger, Johnny Delgado, Redford White, Dobby, Hedwig, Snape, Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Mad-Eye Moody

It seems that people around me are dying one by one.  Who’s next? Memento mori. 😦

Today I mourn for him. Tomorrow I’ll mourn  for the Ampatuan victims. How long will I mourn for myself?
